We're excited to have you on our brand-new platform! Whether you're a long-time member or just getting started, here's a quick guide to help you navigate the key features.

Renewing or Creating Your Membership

Your membership can be renewed directly from your dashboard — no need to contact anyone or fill out paper forms.

1. Log in to your account and navigate to your Dashboard.

2. Under the Membership section, you'll see your current membership status displayed as a chip (e.g., "Member", "Lifetime Member", etc).

3. If your membership is active, you'll see a Renew Membership button. Click it to begin the renewal process.

4. In the renewal dialog, you'll see the membership fee of $25 (plus a small processing fee). You also have the option to add a voluntary donation to support VML — any amount is appreciated!

5. Click Next to proceed to the payment step, then complete your payment through PayPal.

6. Once payment is confirmed, your membership will be renewed and your dashboard will update right away.

Heads up: If your membership is expiring within 30 days, you'll see a warning alert at the top of your dashboard with a quick link to renew. Don't let it lapse — an active membership gives you access to a bunch of important stuff. If your membership has already expired, you'll see a Become a Member button instead, which will walk you through the membership signup process.

Downloading or Emailing Your Membership Card

Active members can access a digital membership card at any time.

1. From your Dashboard, scroll to the Membership section.

2. You'll see two options:

- Download Membership Card — This downloads your card as a PDF file directly to your device. You can save it, print it, or keep it on your phone for easy access.

- Email Membership Card — This sends a copy of your membership card to the email address associated with your account. Handy if you want it in your inbox for quick reference.

Your membership card can be used to verify your membership at VML events and to access member discounts at participating retailers and partners. Visit the Membership Discounts page to see where your card can save you money.

RSVPing and Volunteering for Events

RSVPing (or buying tickets) for events on the new site is straightforward.

1. Head to the Events page from the main navigation.

2. Browse upcoming events and click on one that interests you.

3a. To RSVP/Purchase a ticket: On the event detail page, scroll down to the Tickets section. Depending on the event, you'll see one of the following:

- RSVP — For free events. Click the button to reserve your spot. Some events may ask you a question or two during the RSVP process.

- Purchase — For paid events. Click the button to open the payment dialog and complete your purchase through PayPal.
3b. To Volunteer: On the event detail page, scroll down to the Volunteer Shifts section. If there are volunteer shifts available, you will be able to Click the relevant button to sign up to volunteer.

4. If an event is full, you may see an option to join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you'll be notified.
